I’ve used an Epson label printer for over 10 years. It works wonderfully, but I’ve always wished it could print more than 2 lines. When I saw this new offer I didn’t hesitate a moment. I knew it would be a game changer, so I bought 3…one for me and one for my 2 sons. I wasn’t fully prepared for the game changer this turned out to be.
The learning curve is nearly a straight line. While the printer charged, as recommended on first receipt, I set out to get the app on my Android phone. In minutes I proceeded to produce my first test label. I will never use all of the capabilities of this printer…but I’m encouraged to try. Fonts…several, pitch…wide variety, Bold, Italic…it does it all. If you can imagine it, very likely you can produce it and print it. Need 99 copies….no problem.
I’ve added the app to my iPad, and I also downloaded the Windows version. The app functions well on all 3 platforms, comments seamlessly via Bluetooth, and the unit charges while connected to my PC via included USB cable.
The unit came with 3 rolls of pre-cut labels. In my case I have 3 different sizes. For my purposes, the small 30mm x 40mm label works best. I haven’t tried the other sizes, as yet. I was concerned that the small roll would flop around in the printer, and I do hear movement when I maneuver the printer off of the desk…but it doesn’t affect the label printing at all. They come out straight and even every time. The printer advanced the cut label to the proper orientation, and feeds the labels out, advancing the roll into position for the next label. The knife cuts through the paper feed roll neatly, and the labels are easy to read, with all the detail I want.
I’m currently debating whether to buy more so that I have one in my office, and one in my shop. Highly recommended!
