Twelve of these classic tales were painstakingly restored to their original theatrical condition by the UCLA Film & Television Archive. By combining old and new film elements, new 35mm masters were created to emulate the appearance and audio quality of a first-run motion picture. These restored versions also include war bond tags and the Universal Pictures logos that were removed from the original elements in the 1950s.

Bonus features include six audio commentaries (including a "Dressed to Kill" commentary with actress Patricia Morison); and interview with Robert Gitt, Preservation Officer at the UCLA Film & Television Archive; footage of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; photo galleries; and theatrical trailers.

Basil Rathbone is by far my favorite Sherlock Holmes. For me he will always be Sherlock!And what a treat that this new BluRay collection is available starring Basil along with Nigel Bruce as the venerable Watson in 14 classic Sherlock films on 5 discs!
